The 1st Tiffenden Airfield 'STAMPE FLY-IN 2019'
What an amazing day. On the 4th of August 2019, Tiffenden Airfield Hosted the FIRST UK Stampe Clubs Fly-in. 6 Stampes, 1 Piper Cub, 1 Jodel and a Cap10B flew into Tiffenden Airfield.
Tiffenden Airfield is home to Woodchurch Carriage Driving for the Disabled and pilot and broadcaster Arthur Williams officially opened the new disabled facilities based at Tiffenden Airfield. The weather was perfect with a slight headwind. Over 100 people attended the event with volunteers of Woodchurch Carriage Driving for the disabled out in force. Neighbours, people involved in the construction of the disabled facilities, the out-going Mayor of Ashford, Kent, Members of the Weald Aviators Club and many more attended. The next Stampe Fly-in will be in 2020 in the first week of August. |

The Tiffenden Airfield Stampe Fly-In FUEL CAN
Any pilot that flys-in gets to sign the can. The can has the Aero Cub Paris Nord written on it and in French "No fuel for English Pilots". This is reference to the Stamp Fly-In 2019 at Pithiviers in France when 5 Stampes form the UK landed for fuel at the Aero Club Paris Nord and were refused fuel with the reason being that the fuel was only for club members!!!!!! We love the French so maybe they were having an 'off-day'? The guys at Pithiviers made up for it all by being super friendly and great people to hang out with.
