Pay Landing Fee
We don't charge a Landing Fee. What we would rather, is that visiting pilots make a donation to Woodchurch Carriage Driving for the Disabled that is based at Tiffenden Airfield. We suggest a donation of £10 and it can be paid at the airfield in cash or via bank transfer at a time that suits. Please state "Landing Fee" in the payment description. Thank you:

Woodchurch Carriage Driving for the Disabled (RDA)
Based at Tiffenden Airfield, the Woodchurch Carriage Driving Group are a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) Incorporating Carriage Driving Registered under Charity Number 244108. The aim of the carriage driving group is to provide driving experiences for disabled adults some of whom are wheelchair dependent.
Carriage Driving helps to improve co-ordination, balance and sense of well-being and can greatly improve the quality of life for disabled people. Activities include driving around the local lanes, fields and tracks around the airfield boundaries and beyond. Disabled people also get involved in, grooming the ponies, cleaning harnesses, an annual fun day and competition work. The fun day takes place alongside the runway and the carriage driving equipment is often left out for practice for August & September. Caution advised for pilots and Tiffenden Airfield is PPR at all times. Each disabled driver is accompanied in the carriage by an able bodied driver trained to RDA standards and supported by a number of dedicated volunteers. If you can donate please do so as the charity is run entirely by volunteers and the benefits are far reaching. Thank You. |
